I just completed a thorough upgrade of suspension, brake and coolant system. At the present time I have the dash removed along with all the gauges of the center cluster. I plan on using all new autometer gauges in the vehicle. My question is will the car start and run without the dash being hooked up? I'd like to make sure everything is connected properly before I start changing gauges. Thanks for all your assistance, Alex

Yup, it'll run (and drive) just fine without a dash. Just be careful of hot wires or terminals shorting to ground from vibration. And if the engine cover is off, be REAL careful of the 2-3 shift. Your elbow will be very close to the bolts holding the waterpump pulley on, and the back of the passenger seat gets close to the alternator fan. The only sensitive spot is the small red light for "Gen" in the dash. If thats not grounded so it lights, the alternator field will not energize and you'll get no battery charge during running.
