Need help identifying this wire in the fuse panel

I had on #9 the wiper switch and the washer switch on color G, which supposed to be on #8.
I changed it back to #8 as per SOBill docu 3/10/02.

B and LB/BK are correct as per my car (pre L euro version 4907)

Ok,so the disconnected wire is for the hazard warning lights. The schematic says it should go to #8. On my car it hooks to #9.

Fuse #9 has less load than fuse #8 so it will be just fine.
By the way, the tech service bulletins had some loads removed from fuse #8 and moved to a fuse that has switched power so you do not have to turn off items like wipers and radio each time you turn off the ignition.

sjdennis; It would appear that the green wire you are referring to is for the windshield wiper motor, and goes on fuse #8. There are three green wires that come off the violet wire to the hazard warning, windshield wiper and washer switch. You can pull the green wire off the fuse completely to determine if its the wiper motor.

Jag, I have verified that the lose green wire is indeed for the hazard warning lights. (Thanks Forest) Both #8 and #9 are unswitched power so I will just repair the connector and hook it back up to #9 and note this in my wiring schematic for future reference. BTW the Pantera electronics websight has a photo of an L model fuse block with the wiring just like mine. (Ie green wire to #9)

Perhaps the factory started wiring hazard warning lights to #9 instead of #8 and didn’t tell the guys doing the schematics.
