marlinjackThe Machinist #5723 AMARGOSA MACHINE 'Running on Empty- Middle of Nowhere'
Wow! I know I speak for most of us in saying, if you transport that Gorgeous Machine; your going to miss the most Fantastic, Memorable Drive of anybodys lifetime!! For which that Pantera was born to do. But, I guess You know what you're doing. Regards, Marlin.

Don't think I haven't thought about it a thousand times, regardless of the weird looks from my wife. Tell me how I can hook up with all the others heading there from the Northeast and I'm game.

I wish you all the luck hooking up with some new friends, and have the time of your life. And anyone else, in the NorthEast, who may read this posting and plans to drive to Vegas this summer, Please get in touch with "DEEB", welcome him aboard, and get him driving down to Nevada with some extra tire wear on that beautiful Machine of his. Deeb, you could be in contention for the "Longest Distance" Award. All the best! Marlin.
Thanks for the help. I've sent emails to those and others from the Northeast I have spoken to over the years. I even contacted a few Canadians. I thought I might get a few of us (trailer wimps) on the same load. I drove it from LA to Phoenix a few years ago. It was in the winter and as I screamed through the desert I watched that temp gauge rise - along with my blood pressure - but no problem. But hey, that was with about 250 less HP than what I have now. I'd hate to make that trip through the desert this time of year after 2,500 hard miles with no backup.
