I was almost finished assembling everything for engine startup after more than a year of my car sitting in the garage and I broke off the starter terminal. The area was very brittle - probably from age and heat from the headers. I would like to purchase a new high torque starter tomorrow at a local speed shop. Any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks!

Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra $$$ on a nice starter. I have installed probably 7-8 DB starters and 4 of them have failed. They usually break one or both of the mounting ears off. The quality of the aluminum is terrible! I called them about it and they could care less what I had to say. They replaced them but had no interest in fixing the issue. They said that they sell so many of them it is easier to just replace them.
