panteraHello
I have not posted here since 2008 when my first Pantera was done.
But now i have a new project.
This spring i got a Pantera from Sweden. some body shop had rust repaired and painted it in 1986, since then it has been stored with all parts in boxes. The work they have done on the car is very poor so i have to do it again!

Another great build in the making!

Keep the pictures coming!

Rocky

PS. I love the rear snow tires.... Are you going to build it into an ice-racer for those frozen lakes of yours?
agree with others, Thanks for sharing the magnificant work you are doing. can't wait to see the finish car.

especially like the real "gills" and air induction
Kim, that is a lot of very nice work, and all in only an hour or so! Very impressed! Big Grin
I try to get a lot done when i have time over from my buisness but it might be a little more than one hourSmiler
Nice work Kim. You are a talented craftsman.

I like the spin tool for the stacks. That would make a great YouTube video watching the tubing role into the stack..

Fantastic engine! What a challenge to adapt this high tech engine to the Pantera!
Nice job Kim. After a dozen BMWs owned, it's nice to see the real BMW Motorsport engine in a beautiful body.

Btw, which part of Finland you are building this monster?

Absolutely oustanding. I'm looking forward to further photos and when the 'beast' growling first time

Here is 2 pic`s of the air grills. it is strange how the rear fender looks wider with the open grills !20160821_103858_[640x480)

so i first washed away all the residue from the soda blasting and then sand blasted all remaining rust and last a epoxi layer

My spray booth drying robot was good to dry all the water after pressure washing20160908_092812_[500x375)

I am going to use MaxxEcu engine management system. To use the BMW original system i think is almost impossible. MaxxEcu has also a good system to control the vanos.

Collector with not so nice welds! to get a nice tig weld in stainless need lot of practice and steady hand witch i don't have Frowner20160917_155013_[500x375)

I am going to USA in the end of next week for the Las Vegas Sema Show and to the San Francisco Tesla factory and 3M in Minneapolis. Does some one of you now if there is any Pantera parts vendors at the Sema Show ?

Unfortunately, there are no Pantera parts vendors at the show.

ZF rebuilder Lloyd Butfoy (RBT Transmissions / High Performance Gear) will have a booth at the show. Booth #24613.

Ok thanks
If you don't mind a slight detour Larry Stock (Pantera Parts Connection) is in Carson City NV. Some years he attends SEMA, but not with a trade stand.

If you have specific parts needs you want to carry home with you maybe you can have them shipped to a Pantera owner in the Bay area for local pickup?

If you're in the San Francisco Bay Area this Thursday, 10/27, come to the Pantera Club of Northern California (PCNC) meeting at 7:00pm at Holder's Country Inn (998 S. De Anza Blvd, San Jose, CA) and visit with other Pantera brethren.
Joules. I have so tight program so a detour would be difficult, But thanks anyway.

Garth. The meeting had been nice ! But i am in San Francisco in the end of my trip, Next Friday.

Thank you all for the tips.

They are special made by image wheels in UK.
I just gave them a design model and then they
made a computer model of it, And it turned out
very nice!
