How low do you want your car to sit? Std GT5 widths are 13" rear and 10" front, but my 275/40/17's on 10" fronts scrub the inner fender and have cracked the fiberglass flares on the outside as I'm set up fairly low ride height. I suspest 18's will require a slightly higher ride height.

I have gone 18 rear & 17 front on the GP4 conversion, but I prefer equal sizes front-back on the GT5.

well i am tossing up on two things. Firstly buying the adjuatable QA1 shocks and then setting up a seperate air shock absorbers on the front a arms. These air shocks will be set up to pump up via a compressor no tank.I was told Hall Pantera use to sell this set up using falcon air shocks. The other option is to set it up with pump up air bag suspension on all four.It would be nice to have the flexibility to raise 2-3inches or more then drop it down on the floor with the fat 345 on the back.Nothing beats that look.
Hall's old setup used two small diameter air-shocks attached to an on-board compressor, beside the regular suspension shocks. As I remember, the air shocks looked like door-closer cylinders. The air shocks raised the front end about 2" in a minute or so, intended to overcome steep driveways. Very effective on two GT-5 cars I toured with. And if you kept the air-storage tank pumped up, you didn't need to wait the minute it took for the compressor to pump things up. Note that neither of these cars was used in high-performance driving.
Not that long ago I saw something like that on ebay, marketed at pantera and gt40 owners. About 1,5-3 inch in height. You put it in between the spring and the rest of the coilover like a spacer and with air or oil it could be raised something like 70% of the total height of the "spacer". but it cost around 1700$.
