The restrictor kit cuts oil supply to the right lifter bank, so 8 of the lifters will rattle a bit at idle, making everyone think you have a radical solid-lifter cam. No other problem. If it really bothers you, it requires either a high-volume oil pump or dropping the crank and removing the single restrictor from the rt lifter bank.
I wouldn't use restrictors in a street engine with hydraulic lifters. The noise this causes is the sound of the lifters attempting to ruin your camshaft. And, installing a bigger oil pump to compensate does have some drawbacks. Although I am most definitely a member of the "more is better" club, the fact is there are very few engines that don't get more than enough oil from their regular, boring, stock oil pump. Unless your doing something out of the ordinary the only thing a high volume oil pump will do for your engine is consume a little more power and wear out the drive gear sooner. Good luck...Al English
