JB1490: Thanks. I've tried using that paint chart before. Nobody seems to acknowledge those numbers today. Is V307 a modern day mix? What manufacture?

George: Marti report not important.
in regards to "Can you have a budget during a restoration?"...the answer being a resounding YES!!!

If you go into the project blind & unaware of the work necessary to bring the car up to the "Level" of restoration, as there are a myriad of restoration levels.
As an example, consider the broad spectrum of prices & qualities in a paint job.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay TOO many variables in your limited post information as to accessing "Exactly" what you wanted, as evidenced by your response to the link to the car for sale on eBay...Mark

Well, Sherwin-Williams still has it on their site:

SW V307

Also, try a search for pantera and 71-73 modelyear and quite a few colors turn up.

1971 Pantera euro PB
1972 Pantera euro GTS
2005 Alfa GT

Thanks, first time I've seen that after looking for a long time.

I understand Rocket. I was being facetious, as in restorations always cost more than planned.

Understand "Completely"!!, as I have restored a number of cars. I also understand through the BITTER lesson/s of buying an incomplete car & trying to "Piece it together",as seemingly everybody wants an arm/leg & first born child for part/s.

Thus if I could offer anyone looking at a relatively rare car, 2 bits of advice they would be..."1" Find the most Rust Free, Unhit, Original sheet metal, body/frame.

"2"...COMPLETE CAR!!!...as chasing down/finding, then paying for missing parts adds exponentially to the restoration cost/s.

Thus the reason/s that original/survivor cars garner a premium...Mark

on aside note...appreciate you using the word "facetious", as I truly enjoy the myriad of nuances the english language provides.
