Hi-

I am close to purchasing 3581- last
4 of the Vin- the car appears to be
Listed in the registery but I can't seem to access any
of the data and or photos. Any chance
Someone can look it up and help with decoding?
The Vin is THPNMC03581-
There's another small tag in the engine bay
It reads 02541- different from the Vin tag though I am assuming this is
Some type of chassis number?
Just looking to get all data point possible prior to purchase.
Thanks -excited get a car- been a fan since I was a kid.

The car is there on Provamo, quite a few pics in Yellow, Texas car standard size wheels.

3581 is the chassis number, looks very original and unmolested, lovely car.
good luck with your new Motor car
If it's a little grey tag, and says "Serie Parti Meccanichi" (Mechanical Part Number) it is the engine number.

My motor number is 4392 (my VIN is 5357).

You will find this same number stamped on the rear of the engine block. It is up towards the top, between the drivers side head, and the ZF Bell Housing.

Let me know if this is what you are seeing.

Unlisted 1972 pre-L on the old Registery circa 1994. Orig color is easy- look under the dash or under the floor mats. Panteras were painted all over inside & out before any mechanical assembly was done. The OEM color was coded on a small decal up in the front trunk but after 45 years of heat & vibration, decals usually turn to powder. Have fun.
Very super-awesome looking car, never-the-less.

Of course we all know that yellow, in addition to being Alejandro's favorite color - also adds almost 100 HP in rear wheel horsepower, AND reduces air resistance (drag) by over 15%.

The effect is even more pronounced when the engine serial number is within the 2540 - 2542 or the 4391 - 4393 ranges, but that effect has only been quantified on the higher engine number range.
