I have posted questions regarding my car a while since.
But if anyone can shed any light on the HIstory of my Euro spec GTS number 3840, I would be extremely grateful.

I bought the car in 2013 from a Firm in New York who had purchased it from the estate of a family in Pawtucket, where it had lived since 1981? the car still had its original Italian (Turin) number plate on the front panel.

Claude Dubois has no info in Belgium, I have E mailed the hotel where Santigo DeTomaso resides asking for help, but have had no success there for some reason.

I have been in touch with the family in Pawtucket who sold the car but they have no information regarding whom it was bought from.

It must have been imported from Italy to the USA
I wonder if there is a USA motoring department in America that could help?

Any assistance appreciated Peter.

I've read reports that RS Corse is non-responsive. If Santiago De Tomaso has washed his hands of the whole De Tomaso automobile business, Steve Wilkinson will know. If not, then Steve will also know how to get in touch with Santiago.

I haven't communicated with Steve in a decade. I get the feeling things have changed. I am constantly contacted by De Tomaso owners. This is valuable information to me as well as everyone else, I would deeply appreciate a report of the current state of affairs, one way or the other. These forums exist for us to share information with each other and help us keep our cars on the road.

Hello George,

I have sent a request to Steve asking for his assistance and I shall of course let you know the outcome, thank you for the info regarding Mr Wilkinson.

It would greatly help many owners if the files held by Mr Detomaso were to be donated to the club. Not knowing Mr Detomaso at all is this beyond the realms of possibility?

It would be a magnanimous gesture certainly.

Perhaphs when we know how to contact him the request should be made. And him then made an Honorary member for life??????
I don't know what happened to the files, but back in 2013 I visited RS Corse and was allowed to look up my cars and a few other in the archives. Documentation of all cars were in a huge file cabinet.

The last I heard was that RS Corse has pretty much disolved. I friend of mine ordered 4 5S fenders and payed half in advance. Since then he hasn't been able to get in contact with them. He even drove to Modena to look them up, and found everything closed. He then met Santiago at Canal Grande, and was basically told, that the guys running RS Corse were crooks!! So, I suppose that means that Santiago is no longer involved with RS Corse.

A shame if all the documentation is lost. We have all seen the pictures of the old factory - sad.

The person that I met with at RS Corse was Raffaele Ludovico, he is on facebook and may be contacted through there.

I must say a grateful thank you to Simon Vells
the information he has sent me to contact Marcel Schaub has proved priceless to me.

I now know the dealer the car went to in Italy

its first owners name

warranty details regarding an engine change when

in the warranty period etc etc I have been told 9 pages of info in all, I can't wait for them to arrive.

It appears that mr Santiago doesn't have the archive any more.

Three cheers to Marcel for providing the information, and for acquiring it.
