Rob,

While I have none of what you are looking for, I have been down some of that path once or twice and will share what on your list I have had good experiences with:

Wilkinson has these new repros and they seem to fit well

These are now being re-made to suit the Jag market and they are often available on eBay for about $170. I bought one (at about $130) and it is VERY well reproduced. See this example:

Kirk Evans makes new fiberglass door panels that can be re-covered. Under $200 for the pair and fit seems quite good. No holes are pre-drilled, but some are marked.

I bought all new pistons, dust caps and seals for my Mangusta (Girling brakes also, but different units) from John Farrell Auto Parts in NYC. Very quick response, and a great guy. He will also have pistons (in stainless) if you need them — and all in-stock. Most of the Pantera vendors will also stock rebuild kits.

I bought a roll of what I believe at least some vendors are supplying as replacement body-to-door weatherstrip, from Trim-Lok. See this link:

I bought some form Wilkinson a while back and they were good.

Glad to see you seem to be back on the Pantera, or did you get another one? Big Grin

Headlight buckets! Be careful on this one. In 1972 for some unknown reason both the fender opening and headlight bucket size was changed. It is not much (like 3/16") but enough where former, operation, an appearance are affected. I found this out when my car was just barely clipped by a passing motorhome back in 2005. Only the passenger side fender and bucket were affected but required replacement. It turned out my car#2492, was an "Early car", which meant I needed the much less common parts$$$$$. I actually had to locate the parts for the insurance company. Headlight bucket was $600 used from a vendor. I also found what I was told at the time the last n.o.s. early passenger fender, still in factory primer and ford parts tag taped to it......$2,500. I still have most of that fender since just the ever so important headlight opening was needed. If course the parts can be cut and welded as needed to fit, but the other guys insurance was picking up the tab.
Hi guys,
Thanks for the feedback, and info about the headlight buckets. Is it known what chassis number made the change in the fender opening/door size?

Ahh man Mark...you're ruining the surprise... Big Grin

Kirk, I'll give you a shout. thx

Gary, great to hear from you. We need to catch up, I'll give you a shout...unfortunately won't be there this weekend, as I'll be up north with the family.
