I know how rediculous this is going to sound, but I am looking for a Pantera (anywhere in the US) that I can restore from ground up. This means I'm willing to look at anything, running or not, as long as the body isn't filled with Bondo or rust, and the frame is sound. The limits on what I am able to spend is the major reason for this, but the satisfaction of personally doing it is the underlying motive.
Can anyone reccomend where I can start looking, or where the best places to find this car in said condition would be? I have found many places willing to sell one that has already been restored, or is in mint condition, but none that need a lot of T.L.C. Can anyone help steer me in the right direction? Thank you!

The old saying, "beauty is only skin deep", sure applies when looking for a Pantera. Enlist some knowledgeable Pantera people in your search and let them weed-out inferior cars. When I say inferior I mean cars that can never really evolve into that special car you are looking for. Rusty frames, sheet metal, suspension parts etc sometimes cannot be repaired. Also, pay attention to the ZF as it can be quite expensive. Follow the Pantera web pages closely, however, remember not all correspondents are true experts or absolutely truthful in advertisements. Good Luck!
