To answer a few questions about the car. This car has spent the last ten years in north Georgia. All of the prior years were spent in Southern California. I have extensive records for the car.

The rust in the front was the result of curb rash allowing the rust to set up. I suspect that most Panteras suffer from the inner rust behind the front of the rocker. Most owner's either don't know its there or won't own up to it. This was a very solid car and is even more so, now.
does georgia snow?I think it's in the south and it does not, so the car rusted that way without salt concerns me...generally about these machines, i've seen floor pans rust through in other types of cars, yes it is solid now, but i would have walked away from the car,but that's just me,( what owner is going to let you poke their panteras with a screwdriver)?

it is not a bare metal approach but you folks appear to be experts in the manner you have demonstrated, another pantera saved and to reclaim glory! keep it coming for this wannabe, thanks!
