Looking for options to cover the radiator. I like the stainless louvered that I used to use with my laid down radiator until I put the hood vents in. I am thinking about cutting the area roughly covered by blue tape. This will allow the vents to sit below the stainless cover. Any other options/ suggestions

Thanks

FWIW, the top rad cover is only there to force ALL the air coming in the grille through the radiator core. Any scoops, louvers or holes in the cover only vents incoming higher pressure air around the core and lowers rad efficiency. A plain flat plate, held down tight, works best for the purpose. Perforated hoods can exhaust some hot air after its gone through the core; the amount dumped upward is proportional to the size of the hood holes relative to the core size of 25.25" x 14.25"= 360 sq. inches. Most holes- including the factory hibachi-grilles, are way too small to do much. A GT 40-type hot-air dump works great but IMHO is aesthetically ugly and collects debris.
