They were ALL radio delete cars when they left Modena. And likewise, they all left Modena with NO outside rearview mirrors. L-M dealers usually slapped on a standard Ford chrome head on chrome arm unit. I believe Hall has a repro plate, not quite a duplicate of the stock plate, though. You see original ones on eBay now and then.

Well, I am once again looking for a factory delete plate. The previous owner never send me mine. He promised he would send it 6 different times. It never happened.

I do not want one of the re-production units from the vendors, I really want one that came in the cars originally.

If anyone has one laying around they might be willing to part with, email me at kats22@cox.net

Thanks!

Oh, I saw someone wrote that a few months back...I thought that was for re-production units. Confused

How does a dealership have some left-over delete plates from the early 70's??

I'll will call and see. Thanks again George!

Mayberry L/M has been into Panteras from the very beginning, and still is! I believe the orignal POCA formation meeting was held at their location? They are well known in LA, host regular gatherings once a year or so, buy good survivors and restore them from inside out to sell at the dealership. I am not at all surprised they have original delete plates.

Larry
The delete plates are left over because radios were a dealer installed option, I'm sure they had a stack of delete plates left over from when they were selling Panteras back in 1971 - 1974.

Just adding to what Larry wrote, Mike Mayberry operates Mayberry L/M, owns 2 Panteras himself, is active with the Foothill Panteras, opens his repair bay on weekends to a certain very tall Pantera racer and allows him to work on his race car there, etc, etc.

He reads the PIBB and occasionally posts under the name KING. Eh Mike?

I purchased my Pantera at Mayberry Lincoln Mercury.

George
