how do i take off the front side pieces to the console. itook off the two little screws but it seems to be still held in by the floor. i dont want to break these planes.thanks rick

The console is in there (stock) with a whole bunch of screws into the floor, as well as being pinched by the rear section (package tray) and the gauge console & main dashboard. You cannot pull it without more trouble than you ever thought possible....and once off, you find a welded steel inner console underneath that is a structural part of the body. But the radio can be accessed well enough for wiring, etc through the passengers' inner kick-panel under the dash.
The console front side pieces are also held to the floor with a couple of screws. Just lift the edge of the carpet up and you should see the screws.
