Replacing Gearshifter

Hope it is the right section for my question: I'd like to change my gear shifter and have no idea how. Doesn't matter which whom I talked about it I always get another answer which wasn't helpful anyway.
Anybody here who can help before I disassemble my car

If you are going to go to the trouble of changing the shift lever, I'd suggest looking at the SAAC Restorations cable shifter mechanism.

They make a shifter just for it.

So - had my hour for the Pantera today for replacing the gear Rod.

A big Thanks to Mike - it wasn't mysterious for me anymore when I went through the photos.

Job done and it works perfect.
