You might want to check out John at ccwwheel.com. He does a nice set of street or racing lightweight forged aluminum wheels. They are customed made to your specs and you can get them in 17" or 18". He does a lot of supras, vettes, vipers, other sports cars, and he has even done some Panteras. He knows what he is doing and no matter what size you buy they will cost you $1800. He can also get the tires and mount and balance them for you. If you want testimonials about his wheels I suggest you check out the corvetteforum.com of the viper and supra sites.

Look on ebay, I bought Cobra R replica polished 17" x 9" for under $600. I went to my local tire store who ordered Goodyear Z rated tires mounted and balanced about $900. In order to get the correct spacing, I needed to add an 1&1/2" spacer and longer studs from Hall about $200. I got exactly the look I was after for around $1700. Since my suspension was already apart I didn't have to factor in the cost of pressing in the new studs but you would need to add this in depending on the wheels you choose. Search on ebay for cobra wheels and the companies have links where you can check out their other styles. You can see how it looks at Allen Morris' website at: http://www.smartstoreinc.com/pantera/index.html under his Other Great Panteras tab
good luck
Gary

Before you chart unexplored territory with cheap wheels, please consider the notion that light racing wheels are cheap because they are designed to be used, then thrown away before they break! The Pantera community has had a rash of wheel failures over the years, mostly 3-piece types, that have resulted in accidents, wrecks and total destruction of the cars in question. The latest one was in April '02 during the 'Vegas event, at 70 mph! Most aftermarket cast wheels undergo testing to destruction to be SEMA-approved, while racing wheels do not. The Pantera vendors have done the homework required to SAFELY equip your Pantera with other-than-stock wheels, and deserve our support. Finally, consider that a running Pantera is maybe worth $25-$40,000 and is capable of easy 150 mph cruising speeds. If you must change, a set of $3000 aftermarket wheels and the absolute best tires you can find is what the car needs, IMHO. I'm not rich either, so I use four 8"x 15" Campis with Goodyear/Pirelli Z-rated tires.

I've got a set of Centerline 3 piece wheels that came with my car complete with virtually new Goodyear Eagle 245 VR 50/15s in front and 265/15s in back. The wheels are in good shape. I can't figure out the wheel widths and they were on my GT-5 flaired car but didn't come near to filling them. should fit a stock bodied car. I can e-mail you the pictures. I'll sell them cheap if interested.
