OK, here's the rest of the story. Rusted floorpans, no bumpers front or rear, bad carpet, has been damaged in front and repaired, crack in repair on right rear fender at lip (bondo?).

I can deal with some of that. What's it cost to have floorpans replaced (and maybe lowered). There's nothing where the bumpers and turn signals used to be. $300...$500...$1000???. Hmmmm.

Whadya think folks???

With a Pantera the way it is described, I would be very wary. Take a Pantera expert with you and examine the car. If there is rust on the floor pans, there well may be rust where you cannot see it. Repairs by someone who knows what they are doing, probably will be quite expensive. Unless you can purchase at an extemely low price, that definitely will offset time and cost of repairs, you might be well advised to consider other cars. Sometimes even an expert will only be able to see additional problems once he gets into the car. The best advice I have heard, is to purchase the best car you can find and afford with the most options you desire ,it will save you money in the long run.

Good luck in your search, and have a great Holiday Season.

Thanks Mark, but I would probably set the whole car on fire. The floorpans may not be the killer, but it is true that there could be more. I'm beginning to think the "buy as good as you can" advice is pretty good. I may have to tell the guy I just can't buy based upon his description vs. reality.

Rats! Another one bites the dust.
