I am looking for a short shifter rod. I heard there were some around, anybody know where ?
It's either taht or cut mine down. Has anyone done this ?

Pantera ProFormance said they could cut mine down, which involves rechroming, although I have not done it yet.
I got an e-mail from Steve at Precision. They do it as well. Have to talk to Bob on Wednesday. I'll let you know what I find out.
I'm short, 5'4", I have dropped floor pans, my gear shifter sits almost as high as I do in the car. :-)

Sorry, I meant "Precision Pro-Formance" that I referenced in the above post...I should know my favorate vendor by heart! I know what you mean about the shifter, I am about 5'5" and feel like I am shifting at my chin level.
I figured that's what you meant. I talked to Bob this morning. He is going to check around his shop to see if he has one I can buy on an exchange basis so I don't have to have my car down for about the 2 two weeks it would take to cut it down and have it rechromed.
LOL...you know exactly what I'm taking about....Makes me feel like I'm actually pulling the gear shifter behind me when going into 5th.

I got my Shortened shifter today from Pro-Formance.
They were nice enough to send it to me before I took mine out for the exchange.
It cost 150.00 and well worth it. Nice piece of work guys.
