Single Pod Dash wanted

Doug, one thing you need to consider when changing over your dash from late to early, is the center console. I learned the hard way that the two don't inter-change.

Understood. Does the console need to be changed or just "modified"? You don't have any pictures hanging around do you? Thanks for that information.

After covering the early console in leather, it was scrapped,(too much modification at the dash mount)(measure twice, cut once comes to mind) and the later console was stripped and re-covered. I have a early console core (from the guy who bought the leather covered early console) I'll be in the garage on Sunday, if you need I'll take pics then.

Easy? Yeah, spending countless hours and money looking for stuff I don't really need, but just want!

Ok Doug, as promised, I'm sure you could modify the console, but I think it would be easier to locate a early console for a early dash.

Para, Isn't there also an issue with the heater box alignment/fit?

Does that steering wheel give you more right knee room?
I'm still bumping my 13" Lecarra. It looks like a steering wheel from a go cart now.
Don't mind me, I'm only laughing because I don't want to cry.

Yeah, the wheel frees up "some" knee room, and makes getting in and out a little easier.

That super nice steering wheel also makes climbing under it to get to the pedals a lot easier.

Mark, mine is an 82 and I'm planning to fabricate an all new dash and console. Is there something I should know before I get too far in these plans?
