The shape of the glass max's out the motors with new weatherstripping. As long as the windows go all the way to the top, you're ahead of the game.

Do the motor upgrade from the Pantera Place site. You won't believe what a difference it makes.

If you are refering to the Ford Windstar motors in place of the Pantera ones I am very suspicious of that modification.
I own several Fords with power windows and I will tell you that the quality of the motors that Ford uses is very, not good.
Now having said that, in a side by side comparison test they infact may be 100 times better ther the Pantera motor I suppose.

I replaced window motors all the time in my body shop. i belive the Areostar motors are as good as any. This was one of the first mods i made on my car. It was easy and they go up fast. The old motors would stop part way up, and you would have to wait and then raise them more untill they finally closed. It is a good mod. I even used ...used junkyard motors. If they fais..no big deal to replace.

LPB, have you replaced any of the Aerostar motors yet?

when using aerostar motors, Will they Mash with my Brass gears right?

Yes, they mesh with the brass gears fine.

You no longer need your bronze gears, they get thrown away.
The new motors replace all of that. The only thing that stays is the regulator assembly.

Doug, One of my customers has a salvage yard......I bought two used motors for $5 each. It has been 2 years and all works just like new.

Oops! PanteraDoug is completely right- don't need the brass gear any longer. Did mine long enough ago I'd forgotten - must have been another one of those "Senior moments"
