Dennis - Perfect!
I'm getting frustrated with my 71. That's exactly how I feel right now. Covered in shit.
Thoughts keep going through my mind - Should I sell (cut to losses) or keep throwing major money and pray the market increases. I dunno.
I may list this car on the board soon.
If I lived where you are - I would be much happier.
Thanks for the pics.

I think that most of us have felt what you're describing at one time or another, I certainally have! Give it some time, it usually passes. In any case, don't make rash decisions out of anger or frustration. As for being where I am, paradise is nice but has its price. With the slumping economy our economy is doing a toilet flush. Tourism, practically our sole source of income is down 15 - 30%, record unemployment, and business closures. Our taxes will be rising faster than ever. Our politicians answers to every economic problem is tax the people! I'm seriously considering moving away!
Dennis,
Love the pic! That alone is reason enough why we should all be happy the Pantera is not a convertible!

As a newbie Pantera owner, I am only beginning to understand the frustrations of ownership - the brake lights worked when I got it, now one side doesn't - checked the bulbs (fine), not a fuse problem (hmmm) - gonna take the assembly out tonight and see if it is a loose connection (I really hope it's that simple).

I've already diagnosed the ignition key not turning sometimes - who'd a thought there was a spring mechanism that has to pop out when the key comes out, otherwise it won't work the next time you put the key in???? Anyway, I now keep a paperclip on my key ring and will put some graphite lube into it tonight as well.

But on the plus side, I've taken it to 2 shows so far, won Best In Show at the first one, the second wasn't judged, but I just watched the dynamics, and even though there were about 250 classic cars there, the Pantera was never without a crowd around it. Animal magnetism?

So how's my day - it's beautiful outside, but I'm trapped inside at the keyboard - I'd rather be out driving or at least tinkering in the garage, but that time will come :-)

Sell that POC Greg. Get a nice new reliable car. Tell you what; I'll give you a couple grand right now for that yellow turd and haul your problems away. It's the least a friend could do. Big Grin

Check and clean your grounds.

Seriously, if you want to know frustration, drive an old British car. Our problems are minor in comparison, and no more than you would experience with just about any 35 year old muscle car.

Just keep loving her and she'll reward you!
Well, this day is a lot brighter - fixed the brake light - Garth, you were right on, it was a dirty ground, took the assembly apart, and between emory cloth and contact cleaner, was able to get the juice flowing!
I think I also isolated a current leak that's been flattening my battery - fingers crossed :-)

Now I just have to figure out the glitch with the 'Cigar lighter' (aka phone charging jack, GPS charging jack, iPod charging jack, amp/charge testing jack ... )
