A fixed as opposed to adjustable proportioning valve is designed for a ...specific... car. If you have changed wheel size or brakes the proportioning valve in your Pantera is most likely not correct for the new performance of your car.

Swapping a look-alike proportioning valve is definitely something I would not recommend.

You should perform full maintenance on your brakes and then evaluate performance before you start considering removing components.
