Hi Dave,

Thanks for the info and great photos. I guess I am a little 80's tech, actually 60's tech. So I guess you want me to take all my CD's and burn an SSD. I guess I can do that. Need to find the time. I am going to look into the Retrosound radio you suggested.

Loved your car. What exhausts are you running? I am looking for new exhausts to buy. I have Fred Matsmoto's big bore headers and mufflers I bought from him in the70's. I have never checked to see if the current exhausts will bolt up to his headers and fit properly. Do you know that by chance?

Is your engine stock? What are you running for carburetor?

Where did you get the deck with the Air cleaner scoop?

Thanks again for the radio info and sharing you car photos.

Steve
When I was searching for a new stereo head unit for my car, I found a lot of them were too long. Panasonic was the only one that I found at the local Best Buys that was short enough but I forget at the moment depth was. I didn't really care about the CD player since most aren't designed to play well in a vertical orientation (they will skip if you hit a bump). My main concern was having an iPod connection. The nice thing was the lighting on the unit can be changed to match your interior lights so it sort of blends in. Good luck with your search.

BTW, Fred Matsumoto's "MindTrain Exhaust" system has a standard fixed header flange. On the muffler side, the flange ring floats so you can adjust the position of the mufflers before tightening. I bought mine in the early 80's so I am not sure yours would be the same. If you want to just replace the mufflers, check with PI Motorsports. They bought the rights to the MindTrain system, I think.
