The former owner had dual points and for some reason added an additional ballast resistor (daisy chained) to the pantera balast resistor, for the positve side of the coil. It didn't jive with the Pertronix replacement I put in and when I removed it, it started immediatly.

A few months back, Summit Racing sent me a single points replacement unit from Pertronix that stated in their catalog it worked for the Pantera 351C. Amazingly, I actually got it to work for months until it broke in the garage. I got a free swap from them after I called them and they said I should have got a dual unit model and they made a mistake and sent it to me last week.

Since I cleaned up the firewall and removed the second ballast resistor the tach has stopped working. I'm assuming from what I read it is the blue wire to the coil. I give up,...any ideas,..anybody?

Thanks in advance and Happy New Year!
