webbers; On my '72, the tach wire is part of the bundle of wires that runs through the passenger sill cavity along with the wiring harness to the tail lights (battery cable, also, but separate). The bundle enters just below the fuse panel, through the sill, and exits behind the bulkhead, where the harness will separate, one part to the engine control bracket (solenoid, coil, regulator, gas sending unit wires, etc.), the other wires to the rear tail lights all entering a wire connection to be plugged into the tail light section of wiring.
