Wow, what a mess of nasty brown powder. 
I have a headliner kit coming from Hall's.
As much as I'm a DIY kinda guy, I do believe I will leave the install to the skilled professionals.

Yes, the foam and the adhesive just disintegrate over the years.
The adhesive available now is a spray on and yes, it can get messy but it isn't rocket science. The most difficult part is working on your back and keeping the debris out of your eyes.
The DIY Pantera movement is more about a reluctance to leave the car unattended with anyone as much as anything else.
Thanks Doug. I do have a very hard time leaving the car somewhere, having only done it once so far, was very nerve wracking.
I may try it myself though I seem to have a hard time when it comes to adhesives.
