Several years ago I shared my room in Vegas with a visiting owner from Norway, Sigbjørn Eskeland.

He mentioned he was restoring, I think to Group 4 specs, an L-model.

Well, he recently contacted me regarding my restored Group 4 tail lights and he sent a photo of his car's current condition.

He hasn't replied to my obvious questions, but I thought you might like to see what a project THIS owner has on HIS hands.

Sort of makes any you, or me, might have, pale in comparison, eh?

Follow up from Sigbjørn:

...I have all the panels..
i did acid dip it, and it seems like it have done more bad to the car than good.. it have not been naturalised inside the Chanel's around in the car.. so it has been rusted more...
I'm not doing the welding work myself, its done in Lithuania.. by http://www.jancarfactory.com/
you can see the project at the pictures....

This shop evidently does just about ANY car restoration.

His car had A LOT of rust issues, to say the least. Look at the B pillar!!!

Wow, I took a look at all of the photos and to bring this baby back is a HUGE undertaking, and that is an understatement.

If the owner was saving this car because of the lowered floor pans, I think I would have started over with a different car, especially the state of the market and the availability of better cars. Got to give the guy credit though, definitely bringing it back from the grave. I am going to love to see more photos, along with the finished product -- very interesting.

I am not a body person, but I was wondering how well this body will react to all of the structure removed? Will it be difficult to get the door and other gaps good on this car? I understand it is a tough thing to get the gaps done right on a car that is together, let alone taken apart like this, even with the rudimentary bracing that I see.

All I can say is WOW. I am in awe.
