1st we shared about the new alloy.
2nd we shared how even with the best alloy material, a manufacture still needs quality machines.
3rd is tooling...
One of the special features the Track Boss Cleveland block will have is burnished lifter bores. Here are a few benefits burnishing has:
Mirror Finish in One Pass, Accurate Sizing, Close Tolerances, Eliminates Lapping & Honing
Improved Metallurgical Properties - Work Hardened Surface, Increase in fatigue strength.
Again, this is one of the special features that we are doing to help make the Track Boss products the highest quality product on the market.
After some electrical issues, the (electronic) technician was here on Friday and we have it %90 repaired, now we need the other side of repairs (electrical & mechanical) to come in and finish some repairs and set up parameters & home positions. We will build the fixture for the Track Boss 8.2 intake first and machine the 2 samples we have, it will be fast and keep that project rolling. We do have 1 more fixture we have to design & make for the block. All in all...I would hope we will have aluminum blocks for sale in 2-3 months. Once we reach that point, we will have enough casting to keep up with demand. Then we have to make some changes and have the cast iron blocks cast.I would love to be able to start selling cast iron blocks by Christmas.
