I am interested in a Pantera 1974 with a turbo charger, the owner mentioned built by Hall Pantera. I have not see a turbo charger on a Pantera yet. What do I need to take care of by inspecting the car ? Especial the engine (I am not a mechanics and would bring a mechanics with to inspection) Would it be not recommended a turbo charger ? thanks, Uli

Do you have the VIN? Someone might know the car.
it is the THGTPY07209 from 1974, reg. Uli
The car is in the Provamo registry, car sold in 2015 out of Florida. It looks like a typical Hall build with late style interior, Group 4 flares and wing with twin turbo. Some cutouts in rear decklid for heat escape presumably. The last twin turbo car I saw in person didn't have straight panel left on it, the turbo came in and the driver spun the car. Personally I'd be looking to see how much the engine bay has been modified and how easy it would be to switch to a normally aspirated motor!
Hi Joules,
thanks for the info. Disadvantages with twin turbo are to be expected ? especial with the 351 ? An early failure would be expected ? You are right, cutouts are on the lid. regards, Uli

Not sure if the link will work but here is an interesting photo of bi turbo installation on a 351. Thought to go on it but decided to look for another toy
