Heartfelt appreciation for all who have served our nation during a time of war, to their families for their sacrifices and heartfelt sympathy to the families who have lost loved ones during war time. Not only today, but every day of the year.

Yes, thanks to all who serve or have served during peace or war. You all dedicated years of your life in service of our country. There are many of us who realize and appreciate your sacrifices and are eternally grateful!

I was fortunate to take my Dad to the dedication of the WWII memorial in 2005. It was the last trip that I took with him. He served in Italy.

Pardon my ignorance (or failing memory) In Canada Armistice Day has been celebrated on Nov. 11 as far as I can remember (grade school). In the US Veteran's day used to be on a diferent date wasn't it?
