Hello Julian,
Thanks for the Larry Stock referral. I talked to him this afternoon. One of the cars had a light colored interior with the wrinkled leather, not what I'm looking for. The other car is red, also not what I'm looking for. I might be willing to spend 50K or more for the right car. But I don't want to spend big dollars for a car that may be a great car, but still be something that might take a bunch of money to make it what I want. I wouldn't be surprised if I wind up with a less expensive car, and use the extra money to do exactly what I want to it. I have suggested to people in the past that they buy the best car they can afford. But now when it is my turn to buy, I'm not sure I'll be following my own advice.

Larry Stock has a couple of nice cars on consignment, I sent your e-mail list post on to him and I think he e-mailed you.

Both those are in the low $50K region, but both very nice cars, what's your price range?
Julian, Art, Terry,

Do you mind sharing these links with me?
I am looking for the same thing as Art, so I guess if he is not interested in the ones you suggested maybe they could tempt me.
I also prefer to look at Panteras that are referred to by PI members as I am based in Europe; all this without high-jacking Arts thread or running in front of his feet.

Art also check my post in the Ownership issues forum I have links posted to a yellow L car in florida.

So what does your wish list look like and what sort of priority on specific items?

Vereeken,

Send me an e-mail to julian_kift(at)hotmail(dot)com and I'll forwrad the e-mail from Larry which contains photo's of one car.

My wish list would start with a stock bodied Pre-L 72, that is solid and virtually rust free. I would like to buy a car that does not need paint. I would prefer to buy a car with non- metallic paint, good colors would be yellow, white or blue. A detailed, smoothed out engine bay would be nice. Stock interior would be just fine. Lowered floor pans would be good. Off the top of my head, those are the most important things I can think of. Deal breakers could be paint, rust, or price that is too high for the particular car.
Larry sent me the pictures of one of the cars with a description of both, we then talked on the phone about the cars.

Thanks,
Art

Crap! Sorry to hear that, hope YOU are OK... I really liked that car, awesome color.... Happy hunting... There is a new Pantera out there with your name all over it.[/QUOTE]

Thanks Brad,
I'm fine, I spent a few days in the hospital and missed some work but I'm A-OK now Big Grin. I just got to get my Pantera fix!

Art, that's a real BUMMER! I was only without my car for several months this year after an accident & I hated going through "Pantera Withdrawl" for even that short a time while it was getting fixed. Good Luck in your Quest!
