Wanted: Pantera in Europe

Mikael Hass from Denmark just put his car on the market last week or so.

I've seen the car in person and have photos if you are interested...

I prefer the SI 200, GT5, GT5S, GT4...

But no SI 200 for sale right now...

So if you have a GT5, GT5S or GT4 please let me know.

With only 38 SI's built they rarely come up for sale. The last one I heard of selling changed hands for 150K Euros.

Similarly the number of later GT5 and GT5S cars is small in comparison to the early cars, so finding the right car may take a bit longer.

There's a GT5 clone for sale at a reasonable GBP42,500 on the UK De Tomaso drivers club.

A 1984 factory GT5 is for sale in Canada, here in the classifieds, and $55CAD is only 39K Euros. Bear in mind there are brokers who will do all the export/import work for you.

Don't hold your breath about the GT5 Pantera here in Canada for $55K CDN, it's already disappeared off of Kijiji, so my guess is it may be gone - doesn't hurt to contact the owner just in case though. If I had the space, cash, and permission, I'd have seriously looked at that one.

Too bad the photos are not big enough to assess the true condition of the car. There's some weird wrinkling I don't like on the PS rear inner fender. I know at this point of production they were mostly hand-banged out but that panel looks rougher than other GT5s I know. The interior looks great and at the price you'd be hard pressed to find better value in Europe even after importation. No mention of the original wheels either.

The GT5 from Canada has been removed from ebay before end, so i might have been sold.

The UK cars are a RHD and a bit high because of Sterling pound or to few cars in UK.

Anyway, still looking...

I may be listing my GT5 Clone in a month or two. Currently the engine is out getting a 393 stroker kit (500HP). I have 2 and one has to go.

I'd say an average price in the US for a GT5 is $65K and a GT5S $75K. Europe is usually more expensive.

If that is too expensive it would be better to tell us your price range and that way we won't end up posting a bunch of stuff that's not in your budget. Where in Europe are you (for shipping, import & taxes etc.)?

Pretty sure that that is a former car of the former owner of my Pantera. If that is the case, he was thrilled with the motor as installed by the factory. High revving and powerful, he still talks about it. Of course that was years ago so who knows if it is the same motor, etc. But if someone was interested, I could probably put them in touch with POs...
