I am looking to purchase a small diameter water pump pulley. I have been trying to improve the cooling system in my car and this seems like the logical next step. Unfortunately SACC no longer sells their 4.9 inch pulley (it seems like I just missed them). I thought I would check and see if anyone has one kicking around that they would like to sell.

My car is a Lola T70 replica that uses a Pantera drive-train. The engine was purchased from Hall Pantera by the previous owner. It has a Weiand water pump, which I understand are not the best and lack the proper thermostat passage. My crank pulley appears to be 5.5 inches in diameter, so the 4.9 inch pulley seems like it would improve my flow at low engine speeds. I have not yet pulled the thermostat to see if it is the correct type. From what I have read on this site, it seems that with the Weiand, I either want no thermostat or a 351w thermostat.

Thank you!

The  Weiand water pump deletes the quick warm up passage for winter driving, and does not tolerate winding in block-off pipe plugs with a 30 inch cheater bar. You can crack the aluminum housing that way. Other than that, it's reasonably priced and has worked on our Pantera since the early '90s in fast touring, autocross and normal driving. Its an average, reliable pump IMHO.

And like other average pumps, it cavitates above about 5000 rpms. A smaller pulley will fix that and possibly increase water temps a little around town. The T-70 kit is comparable to a GT-40 kit in what it needs.
