looking at some wheels for my 72 pantera. can someone tell me what is the offset for 9" fr. and 11" rear? and is that all you can get under a stock body car? thanks todd

When I bought my wheels, I was told not to exceed 8" in front or they'd rub. I bought 8s and 11s and they work great, no clearance problems at all.
My centerlines (8x16 front and 11x17 rear)have a 4.5" offset front and 6.5" offset on the rear. The front could be 5" however with a 17" wheel 6.5" on the rear is max or it will touch the hinge bolt on the upright. I think 18" wheels on the rear would allow a 7" offset putting the wheel further under the wheel well.
