I saw it this morning but I was on the road all the day and I could not answer and now I can not find it anymore.

I wanted to say that I completely agree and that is why there is no difference in operating principle between a NA engine and a super or turbo charged engine, only the value of the pressure change, 1 bar absolute for a NA and more than 1 bar absolute for a super or turbo charged.

But it is also true that in everyday language, everyone speaks of aspiration .............

No, it was written yesterday.

It was explained that "suction" by the pistons doesn't exist, but that the pistons going down simply creates a volume in which the atmospheric pressure pushes the air, the atmospheric pressure being caused by the gravity exerted on the gas that constitutes the Earth's atmosphere.

In other words, it is not the piston that pulls but the atmospheric pressure that pushes.
This is a subject on which my old physics professor had insisted a lot a long time ago ................. when I was young and still in high school.

LOL

Gay-Lussac? no I don't see why, but however he could have been called Blaise Pascal but I'm still not so old Big Grin
well seniors..smile
think the whole thing is a question of the science disciplines.

Thermodynamic folks call it this way.. Engineering folks the other way .. well physics still stands, as "phenomens" are the same! ...To my old brain top guys from France investigation this..in the 18th and 19th century..

Enjoy..and my engine is runing!!!
