Sorry .... think I posted this into the wrong forum, so this is a repeat.

I should be hugely grateful if someone who has a "working" Pantera could help me - perhaps with the aid of a measuring stick!

I am comming to the end of a mammoth reassembly of a 1973 Pantera (chassis 4261) a RHD UK supplied car which started as an "L" model and was massively modified by its first owner for sprinting etc but has been off the road for something like 30 years. I am putting it back out as a road car and as well as remanufacturing the pop-up headlights etc (removed and plated over) I need to re-equip it with wipers. I have none!

What I should like to know is: what are the dimensions of the wiper arms and the blades? This can either be the original dimensions or, if you are using longer arms and blades because the originals are inadequate, what size do you find work well? I shall need to supply new wheel boxes etc so I am not bothered about the fitting size of that; just the best combination of arm and blade length. A bit of crude "mocking up" by means seems to suggest 16 inch for both: does this work well?

Many thanks ..... Murray Reid

Murray, you have luck. The wiper Arms (and all associated drive/electrical etc) are Lucas and they are manufactured in the UK ;-)

here is a link to where they sell the Arms.

I use a 15" on the left and 14" on the right and if you get the Arms that are adjustable in length it is really easy to setup a nice swipe. Since your car is RHD you might need to experiment with different Blades than I use.
JFB,

Nissan windshield wiper arm part numbers (from a 1987 Nissan Maxima).

Driver's side: 2888134E00
Passenger side:2888634E00

Since I don't have any pick-n-pulls in my area and since EBay prices were almost as expensive as ordering new OEM Nissan arms, I just ended up ordering new ones from my local Nissan dealer. They ended up being around $32 each. Very happy with the outcome.

If you need anything else, please let me know.

Devin
