WiringDiagrams for my 1979 GTS

The large yellow with black stripe at the fuse box goes to the spot lamps on #9070. It goes to position Q which is marked on the fuse strip, fuse 15.
The other wires on relay side, are they after the multi-wire connecting blocks?

Thanks for the help ... here are the two pics.

One of the fuse box wires ..yellow / blk and white / blk stripe
and the other of the relay side is red/blk green blk and white I think I;m missing a relay ... maybe for the rear window refroster ?

On my car, the hrw relay colors are grey, grn, blk, blue/blk bands, white/blk bands and a red. It comes from a seperate 4 way wire plug. That might be the hrw relay behind your hand.

I do not have a red with black bands or green with black bands wire.

Do you have central door locks?
What is your car serial #?

My car is 9138 a 79 gts. Its a euro care. It has rear window defrost, rear red fog light, not sure about electric door locks. Not sure what would indicate this option ... It has a 16 position fuse box

Attached is a scan of PI's parts book. It shows a relay for the central looking , not sure what side of the car it would live on, #58. If you have the wiring for the acuator in the door, you will have at least 2, most likely 4 more wires than you need for the windows and lamp, including the speaker wires if they are mounted there.

It also says there is a relay for the driving lamps in 1985. Mine does not have one, yet.
I do have fog lamps front and rear, hrw, 16-way fuse panel plus headlamp washer pump and jets.
It was going to Sweden I believe.

You might try pinging GT5-9189 who is posting pictures of his car in that section. He has the wiring attached in 2 pictures.

Ok I figured out one of the problems ..I installed the new red rear fog light and that took care of the extra green/blk wire. Everything works fine ... now I have to figure our the rear defroster and the interior lights.

My rear defroster has a white or a white/black wire coming from it. I'll check it out tomorrow and let you know.

Cool sounds good ... I have to take a pic of the rear fog like it looks cool .. I had found the old wire rolled up back there .. I think it was removed when they put the L bumper on to come to the USA.

Both wires coming off of the rear window for the rear defogger are white.

Your not going to believe it but the other night after testing the defrost switch ..it had no power to it...then I took a cruize to the BEAR Mountain cruzie night and on my way back I tried the switch and it lit up red ... I think cleaning up the wiring and pulling out the old amp, radio , fan overrides and the rear fog light .. and plugging in the disconencted wires ..things are staring to turn on ... next is the interior light in the dash board .. I think I just figured out what the lonly yellow . blk wire is going ?
