Hello all this is my first post
I am looking to buy a project Pantera
I would like to find the lowest priced car posible.I will be willing to spend around $10,000 or less for a car that does not run or up to $15,000 for one that runs..
I geuss what im looking for is a car that needs body work or rust work ,I am a body man by trade.
"Just as long as the the rust can be fixed I will do the work". Wink.
I would like a good working transaxel ,,the performance of the engine does not matter to me I will run a stock ford engine if i have to,,I would like a mostly complete car
I have allways been a complete Pantera fan and would love to join the crowd :)
Thanks so much for any help ,Please email me at with any leadsmail@fibereffects.comor call 434 941 9673 or 434 384 3113

If you don't have any luck finding one challengeing enough and decide to build a Pantera kit car, let me know. The idead of a roller Pantera made from all new parts is somehow appealing to me. Smiler

Tube chassy & 3 piece body which opens up like the GT-40. Done pretty well. I liked it.
It's my understanding that the bodies can no longer be had which is a bummer.

Oh man. That is awesome. He made that from scratch?? I have seen kit car magazines where there are guys out there who will just make their own kit from scratch. I just sit there in awe. Later the feelings of inadequacy drift over me as I realize I can't even get things right on a car that's all there. But I get over it. Smiler
I can desiege and make fiberglass and carbon fiber parts ,mostly scoops and such but I do not like all the grinding and itching any more.
Fiber Effects is a small business that I recently started and I plan on selling other peoples products for now ,maybe latter when I make some money I might produce some of my own products.I saw the last person on here that was asking for a project car seemed to have located a nice car for around $15,000.Building a kit car from scratch seems like alot of work to me and I think I would just prefer to find a car that is not to badly rusted, like i said before the performance is not much an issue I can build it faster as time goes by.The thing is that I am selling my old farm house in the country its not worth alot but I thought that when it sells I could buy me a pantera to use as my company car and posibly desienge some carbon fiber parts off of it.I plan on using the money left over after buying a pantera to invest in my business and travel for a while.I have done custom corvette work for 20 years and painted laquere for 15 years and I am tired of painting cars due to health concerns.I allso am a moderator for kawasaki tripples world wide mesage board and I mess around with kawasaki h2 mach IV 750 bikes so I am used to rebuilding old stuff with little money.
well thats my story and I think this is a great message board.
Thanks for all replies
Winkie
I guess that if a Pantera doesn't have rust it is because it was just recently re-done by someone, which means it costs a lot more. But yeah, there was a guy on here a few months back who said he bought a car for $3500 bucks but it didn't have an engine or transaxle. It seems like it does come up once in awhile.
Good luck with your search.Be patient and also be prepared to travel.I just purchased a pantera project myself and am looking forward to the restoration.Try to look at as many cars as you can because just when you think you found the right car a better one comes up for sale .There is a rolling car on ebay that might be an option?
