Yes, but I think it is a bit steep...

You have a $40,000 -$50,000 car and a brand new, NOS Veglia clock is only $150?

Even on the very best day, I doubt you could find one like that for less than $80-$100.

There is always J.C. Whitney or Pep Boys --- or whatever discount stores you may have in Norway. Wink

+1 Larry.

Maybe it is just me but I think for NOS that is a very fair price.
Unfortunate but true. I blew my amp gauge on the goose last year. Ordered a 'replacement', one from one of the vendors ($120+ shipping +duties...) when I got it here it had a chrome ring, so I told myself, to save time, lets change the ring, well the ring was totaly different from the new set-up and I could not install the new intrument in the old housing.(worst now I cant return it) Ended-up going to a larger volume Auto Part place, bought a $20 amp guage, changed the face over and instaled the guts in the old housing. A couple of hours later I was back on the road.

So if you have an old gauge, see if you can install a newer style mechanism in the housing. At the end of the day you have to decide: time or money (pun intended)

Well, not only that. To me, the green color on the numbers don't seem right (to dark) on the one on eBay, so paying that for a piece that might not be right would be the worst thing.
Doesn't anybody repair these clocks? The value add is the face and all that, for the look, what's behind could be any cheap clock? When I restored a 68 Camaro with a on the floor clock I gave it to a few vintage clock shops in Denmark, they all gave up (I ended up finding an exact duplicate at a swap meet in original box with oily paper and no scrathces on the terminals = never used for $100. I'll sell it on ebay for my retirement Smiler)

Currently in the Longchamp I have a clock that works most of the time (pun intended), who in Europe could take it apart, add new electronics etc?
I have a number of these clocks with the white hands. The green ones were similar to what was used in the Mangusta. Very hard to come by, so that price for a new one was very reasonable!

The ones that I have say either "quarzo" or
electronico on them and may need a new lens installed. You can get new plastic lens for about $5 or so IIRC.

Mine all have black tin bezels as for the GT5.
