I replied to two interested members but I suppose I should put it all out there. It is a Becker Europa II. The radio has a vertical "dial" and 5 push buttons .. 2 BC (which I think is AM) and 3 FM. These are beside the vertical "dial" but the push button letters are not vertical. There is a long, thick pigtail from the radio to another box .. no clue as to the box function. The unit is said to be stereo (was there stereo in 72?). I have everything .. brackets, face plate, fused power line, even the owners manual with circuit diagrams. I bought my car in Jan. 73 but I can't recall when I changed out the radio for a "modern" one with a cassette tape playing function. I'm pretty sure it was working when I removed it .. but it is 46 year old technology so ...
Robbie, the rectangular box is a primitive around-18 watt amp to be used with the radio. Otherwise, the volume will be quite low. Both the radio and amp occasionally fail. Yes- most Europa lls WERE a two-channel, dual-speaker stereo. On some Europa lls, the letters are vertical because it can take two different dial inserts.
