I'm still searching for the final few parts for an engine build:

1. Timing pointer.

2. Oil slinger.

3. Scat crank spacer (0.300") I have a Ford Motorsports p/n: FMS-M19009-A341C.

Dead or alive, new or used.

Help.

Price including shipping to that man Drew at zip 95688.

Thanks.

Phil,

I'll take a trip to 'Pick 'n' Pull (local scrapyard) over the weekend. If I come across more than one of the timing pointers I'll grab them.

What do you mean by 'oil slinger'? Maybe windage tray? They are certainly available from aftermarket suppliers, but you should consider an Armando or Aviaid oil pan with the baffles and crank scraper all in.

Cheers,
Hi Jules,

well, I have a new Milodon oil pan with some baffling so that's covered.

I've also ordered a matching windage tray.

I don't know what an oil slinger is until I see one.

I hope Dan is reading this as was he who suggested I need one.

Anyone have a photo?

so, I'm just down to the parts listed above and I think I'm done on the bottom end.

Phil,

OK, I have a timing pointer for you (I actually had a spare one out in the garage). I don't have an oil slinger and to obtain one would mean pulling the timing cover on a motor in the scrapyard and even then the later engines did not have them..... however, there's a company in Anza, CA that do a lot of Cleveland stuff and they were they ones I would have sugested for a windage tray had you needed it. They have an oil slinger for $20, the link is below. For anyone else following the thread they they also have timing pointers Wink

It's a 1-2 week order item though.

I can order a slinger and mail both to you if you want or you can go the DrewPS route Big Grin

The Milodon pan is not baffled to the same extent as the Armando or Aviaid, in a Pantera that is a big difference for hard cornering, maybe not so important in a Longchamp. Coincidentally there were two posts on the e-mail list just yesterday from people looking to sell unused Armando pans if you did decide you want one.

Cheers,
Phil,

I responded with 2 replies to your first PM, (to say okay and I'll look at mailing cost direct to the UK, plus then with some links to the cranks spacer). Did you get them? If there is a problem my e-mail is julian_kift(at symbol)hotmail.com
