Now I wonder if I need a new 1/2 shaft, or if one or two of the spicers just need replacing. When I set it lengthwise on the floor, hold the outside part with my hand, and then pull up and down on the shaft, there is about 1/8 to 1/4 inch play in the spicer (where the spicer moves away from the ring).
