18" rear, 17" front pantera east???????

Its time to change my wheels, I definetly like the pantera east GT5 rims, I would like the fatest rear tire made....seems to be 345 piot sport, in 18" has anyone done 18's in the rear and 17's in front? any pictures?
the reason I am considering the soft tire is the size appears to fit the wide rim better, however if everyone thinks diferent please let me know or post pic's. thanks for your help.
