Cheers Husker - I was asking more out of interest with the markings based on every other part in my car being stamped with 424 somewhere.

I haven't made the time to think about it much more - I've got a holley and spacer on my car which may not work with the "standard" '71 cover like yours. Do you know if it will fit over them? I suspect it wont looking at the profile of the air cleaner and the side panels.
