...On My '74L, removing the rear 'Aluminum' spacers lowered the rear deck exactly 1.0". I was sure to take a before and after, measurement. I believe it was the same for the front. Leave the rubber 'shims' in their place; unless you like to hear squeaks! The rubber keeps the springs from rubbing on their metal seats...
