1971 Panteras had an M code motor, 1972 through 1974 Panteras had a Q code motor.

So to answer your question, your 1974 motor was called a 4V, but is essentially a 351 Cobra Jet with smaller 2V size valves in the large port 4V heads, dished pistons taking the motor to 8.0:1 compression ratio, a cobra jet camshaft retarded by 4 degrees, exhaust gas recirculation, 750 CFM Autolite 4300D spread bore carburetor.
