4 bolt or 6 bolt architectures are much stronger than 2 bolt mains that were designed for non-hi performance applications. Longevity of your engine is dependent on a ridged block. Even if you are not racing or stressing the block at high R.P.M. the less deflection of the rotating assembly the better.
