OK adding to this trivia . . .

I saw a picture of an early '71 pushbutton in the latest P.I. Magazine. It appears to have these valve covers on it. Did the early models come with these valve covers? All Panteras that I have seen have come stock with the stamped steel ones with the Detomaso plate glued on. The guy I got mine from says that he changed them from the stamped ones, could his memory be fading and this be the originals?
